Cognitive ToyBox Sunset FAQ
1. When will Cognitive ToyBox (CTB) no longer be available?
Cognitive ToyBox (CTB) will be sunset on June 30, 2026. After this date, the platform will no longer be accessible. If your agreement extends beyond this timeframe, please contact us so we can support you. Our team can assist with transitioning to GOLDFinch™, or you may work with your third-party seller to explore additional options.
2. What happens to the CTB games we currently use?
The CTB games for children ages 3–5 have been seamlessly integrated into GOLDFinch™, Teaching Strategies’ comprehensive digital portfolio and assessment solution. Educators and children will continue to enjoy the game-based assessments they know and trust. Games designed for children 18 months to 3 years are not part of the integration at this time but may be considered for future updates.
3. How will we access our existing CTB data after the sunset?
Because CTB and GOLDFinch™ are two separate assessment systems, CTB data will not transfer into GOLDFinch™. However, all data collected in CTB through June 30, 2026 will be archived. Administrators will be able to access this archived information in the form of a data file, ensuring they can retrieve relevant historical records whenever needed.
4. Will there be a fee for moving to GOLDFinch™?
There is no added fee to make the transition. If you choose to transition to GOLDFinch™, we will honor your current pricing for the first year. After your first year, GOLDFinch renewal pricing is generally comparable to what programs currently pay for CTB.
5. For programs that choose to transition to GOLDFinch, how will educators and staff be supported during the process?
For programs transitioning to GOLDFinch™, we’ll be your partner every step of the way. Our team will provide comprehensive training, onboarding resources, and dedicated customer support to ensure educators feel confident and prepared. The CTB games you know and trust will be seamlessly available in GOLDFinch™, so teachers and children can continue using the same engaging, game-based assessments without disruption.
