Exploring Your Home
Source: ELOF Teaching Practices, adapted
Follow individual children's leads in activities and conversations. For example, let's say your child is 8 months and enjoying their new gross motor skill—crawling. Watch and stand nearby and waits to see what they will do. Let's say they climb up onto a pile of laundry, looks at you, then crawls back down. Think about how you might change the physical environment to support your child's interest in finding new surfaces to crawl on.
