Sink or Float
Source: Cognitive ToyBox
Collect a few toys, and fill up a bucket with water. You can even do this during bath time. Drop the items into the water, one by one, to see which one sinks or floats. Use objects of different weights, so that your child can understand the difference between the two. Expand the activity with older children by asking which item they think will sink or float and recording the results on a chart.
Recommended Age: Birth-2 year olds
Activity Type: Offline Activity
